Tomorrow (Wednesday 31st October), we will be having a great little get together at the
UK ColdFusion User Group.
Kev and I will be going over what we learned and saw at this years
Adobe MAX Europe conference in Barcelona.
Spaces are really limited and its at our new venue in Picadilly Circus (actually, its my office!)
Register today and there will be some great bits and pieces to win!

Do you need someone to present at your CFUG? Well, I have been doing a lot of presentations lately, which can be seen over in my
Presentations page, which means I have a lot of content I can present on. If you have a specific topic (including
CFEclipse of course!) Why not
email me with your proposal and I shall see what I can do.
I am based in London, England so unless there is a nice budget to fly me out, I can also do remote presentations using Adobe Connect. I am available in the evenings mostly so let me know if you ever need an extra presenter at your CFUG or company.

As I am sure anyone that has gone to one of my CFEclipse presentations would know, I also happen to be to co-manager of the
UK CFUG
Over the coming months, I want to fill up a schedule of speakers, myself included on a variety of topics, and I would really welcome suggestions from the community, especially those in the UK (and more so those that are able to attend our London based CFUG meetins) for topics that you would like to hear more about.
I can do most of these presentations (well, depending what they are of course!) and also very much welcome other speakers.
So, if you have a suggestion, let me know!

Tonight's UKCFUG meeting will be presented by Railo, a CFML rendering engine which has some nice benefits for all.
Come and check out the
Railo funkyness!
(now Gert can tell me WHY he is still using CF Studio!)

I am doing a presentation for the
Auckland (that's New Zealand!) CFUG on Thursday this week about
CFEclipse. If you are interested in getting started using the CFEclipse plugin for Eclipse, this is the presentation for you!
Unfortunately I wont be there in person (maybe next time guys!) but it will be in one of these new fangled Adobe Connect rooms, which means you can join if you head to :
http://adobechats.adobe.acrobat.com/cfeclipse/
The time for the meeting is 6am GMT, 6pm NZ time, 1am EST, 10pm PST and a whole lot of other times around the world (go on, figure it out!)
For those safely tucked up in bed at that time, I am pretty sure they will be recording the presentation so you don't have to be up at some ungodly hour!

The UK ColdFusion User Group has setup a mailing list over at
Google Groups so that UK based CF Developers can keep in touch and participate more in ideas about meetings and resources (such as training, jobs etc)
We shall be doing some more announcements about upcoming meetings, but in the meantime you can do two things:
- Join the mailing list
- Come and join us for a beer tonight!
See you there!

Just a little reminder that next Tuesday we are meeting up at
The Crosse Keys, 9 Gracechurch Street,City of London for a few drinks. It will be great to meet up with some other CF'ers but it's not a CF specific meetup, so bring a friend.
Lots of people coming (check out
Kev's blog)
I should also warn you, no amount of alcohol will get me to tell you what the new features in CFEclipse will be. I have signed an NDA by me, which will be embarrassing to break since I would have to sue myself, and that would be just plain weird
Hope to see you all
there!
