New UK Apple Ads!

I just spotted that Apple has done some UK specific adverts using Mitchell and Web (the guys behind "That Mitchell and WEbb Look" funnily enough). Some of them are copies of the American ads, I just spotted a double page spread in the Metro this morning and lo and behold they are on the Apple UK site! Go check them out!

    What? why clone the US ads? it is kinda weird as they have the same script but with brittish actors...

    Yeah, especially since they could be funnier with the Mitchell and Webb guys... I guess UK is a second rate country and we are crap at our adverts (heavy sarcasm since we are well known for good ads)

    I saw these pop up this morning. At first I thought they were gonna be a parody or something for new show. As they're doing it just word for word they might as well of just shown the US versions.

    At least one of them has different wording.

    There's also the fact that US adverts alienate British consumers (known fact in advertising - UK public does not respond well to re-use of US adverts) - using local actors is a polite way of saying 'we care about your custom'.
